Events Rules
Rules
Max of 12 teams on first come first serve basis would be allowed for entry.
Indecency in any form including gestures, dress etc. will not be allowed
Participants will be selected on first come first basis.
Time limit for each performance is 3 minutes.
Maximum of 2 participants per college will be allowed.
The participant will have to bring his/her own costumes and reach the venue an hour in advance.
The dance will be on the tunes of the recorded music of which two CD’s should be brought to the venue.
Props are allowed by the participants.
Judgment will be based on performance, costumes, expressions and song selection.

Judgment will be based on talent, rhythm, voice quality and performance.
Participants must coordinate with the coordinators to get their CDs/ pen drive fixed 1 hr before the event.

Each Team will comprise of 2 students.
Participants will arrange for colors by themselves.
Rangoli will be prepared on plain cemented floor.
Size of Rangoli cannot be more than 3’ X 3’
Time allotted for preparing the Rangoli is 1 hour.
No depiction of religious or political leaders is allowed. Team must apply secular approach. Decency should be maintained.
Colors, pulses, flowers etc. are allowed.
Topic will be given on the spot.
Mobile phones are not allowed.
Final judgment will be based on the following criteria:

This competition will be following all the rules of international chess.
Separate event for boys and girls.
The time limit for each match will be maximum 15 minutes.
The touch & move rule applies i. e. you will have to move the first piece you touch on your turn.
The respective rules of castling will be applicable.
Only one team per institute is allowed. (one boy and one girl). The tournament will be in knock out format.
No mobile phones or any Bluetooth devices are allowed during the games.
Any player found using unfair means will be disqualified.
Decisions of the judges will be final.

Free hand must be in contact with the peg at all times.
Shoulders must be square to the table before start of match.
Competing elbow must be placed on the elbow pad at all times.
Thumb knuckles must be showing on competing hands before start of match.
Competing wrists must be straight before start of match.
Gripped hands must be in center of table, in line with pegs.
Competitors must have both feet on the floor under the table for sit down competition.
A period of thirty seconds will be allowed to grip properly.
Referee's grip must be administered after thirty second time period has lapsed.
No movement will be allowed during or immediately following administration of referee's grip.
Competitors may waive the thirty second time period if both agree; thereby starting the match in a referee’s grip before thirty seconds has lapsed.
Audible signal given by referees must be "ready, go".
Competitors may not intentionally delay the competition, i. e. not staying at the table, not attempting to grip up, etc.
A thirty second rest period may be permitted after a slip grip or foul upon referee's discretion.
Competitors must be stopped if believed to be in a dangerous position at any time during a match.
Competitors may not use any part of the body to pin their opponent.
Competitors may not intentionally slip grips.
Competitors should not consume alcoholic beverages before or during a sanctioned event.
No contestant will be matched twice against the same person unless it is for place, i. e. 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
Competitors may not wear anything on their competing arm or hand. However, in the event of a bleeding injury, a competitor MUST stop the bleeding to the referee’s satisfaction. No more than 3 minutes will be allowed. Use of a Band-Aid or a piece of tape the size of a Band-Aid on the wound is allowed.
Competitors are allowed one minute total to arrive at table. Competitors will receive call number one, then call number two thirty seconds later. Failure to report will result in loss.
3 weight categories
For men are
55-70; 70-85; 85 and above.
For Women are
40-55; 55-70; 70 and above (may be changed on the spot)
Foot rule: you must not wrap your legs around the table legs or lift both feet off the ground.
Sportsmanship will prevail. Failure to comply will result in a foul or immediate barring from contest.

Participants will be judged on the basis of dancing style, coordination, costume, expressions and choreography.
Teams have to bring their own props, costume, make up and reach the venue an hour in advance.
There is restriction on the use of fire or any inflammable object and glass shatter on stage. Disqualification will be awarded in such a case.

Participants are required to bring all necessary ingredients for cooking.
No form of alcohol or intoxicating ingredients are allowed for any kind of preparation.
There will be considerable negative marking if any cooked ingredients are found in the presented dish.
Each participant must prepare at least "2 dishes”. (Drinks and beverages will also be counted as dishes)
All required materials, tools and equipments should be arranged by the participants themselves.
All the participants must leave their working area clean after the preparation is over.
Any kind of pre-cooked food like pasta, noodles, tortilla rolls, etc. from home is allowed.
No microwave, oven or gas stove on the spot is allowed.
Presentation of the dishes will get additional points.

Bring out the creativity inside you and make an outstanding advertisement of your own. Be it hilarious or sensitive, be it just your creativity and ad sense.
It is a team based event.
Each team should have 4-5 members only.
5 minutes preparation time for each team will be given.
Time limit for performing the advertisement is 2-3 minutes.
Negative points for exceeding the time limit.
Topics would be provided on the spot.
Participants shall be judged on the basis of spontaneity, content, and adherence to the topic, on-stage presentation, coordination and overall appeal of the advertisement.
The caution should be taken to refrain from displaying obscenity, violence, prejudice, defamation etc. in Advertisement.

General Rules
Registrations for all the events will start from 9:00 AM.
All entries must reach the registration desk an hour before the event.
Late entries are not allowed.
On the spot registration not allowed.
All Participants and Visitors entry would be on their valid identity cards during the festival LA-KERMESSE 2020.
Usage of mobile phones is not allowed.
The college authorities reserve the right to alter any of the rules.

Judges decision will be final. Clarifications regarding the judgement will not be entertained.
Props, dresses, stationary, special equipment’s etc. will not be provided and will not be compensated as well.
Participants are required to take care of their belongings.
Participants using unfair means will be immediately disqualified.
In case of large number of registrations, prelims should be organized for external and internal participants, to select the best performances.
In case of external team, the participant/team shall mail their video of 3-4 minutes on the lakermessemerigroup@gmail.com
The concerned faculty shall then select the best performances on the basis of Presentation, Entertainment, Creativity, Overall Impact and moves.
The final date of prelims for internal participants shall be communicated to the participants by the concerned faculty in-charge.
